Vevox is an live web-based audience engagement application featuring polling, surveys, quizzes and more. Vevox is integrated with Moodle and can send grades back into Moodle if required.

Creating a Vevox session link in Moodle

NB. if using Vevox inside Moodle students will need to access Vevox via Moodle as well.
- Log into Moodle (medschool.otago.ac.nz or hsmoodle.otago.ac.nz) with your University of Otago credentials.
- Navigate to the course you wish to add a Vevox session to.
- Make sure Edit mode is turned on.
- Click the + where you want the link to appear and select Add Activity or Resource.
- Select Vevox from the options.
- Click Select content – and pick from your existing session or create a new one to link
- Select the correct Vevox activity from the session in step 6.
- Decide if you want your students to be anonymous or identified
- Scoring – decide if you want a grade going back into your Moodle Gradebook related to this activity.
- Click Done when you’re finished.
- Add any other regular Moodle features you need (description, grading information, access restrictions).
- Make sure you save before closing.
