Survey Responses by group and location
We analysed the quantitative data and also looked at every single comment and had two staff independently code these so we could be sure that we were aware of the main benefits and challenges with Moodle, as we prepare for our major upgrade in January 2023.
The main messages received (loud and clear) were that staff and students see the value of having all learning material in one place but that there are significant challenges in four main areas:
- Keeping track of updates and notifications across all modules/courses
- Navigating to Moodle pages (courses or modules)
- Finding material on pages
- Grades and results (finding and releasing them)
Our next round of feedback will be launched soon, and addresses each of these main areas with some information about how the new Moodle upgrade aims to address these. While we can’t fix everything, we think we are making good steps towards addressing some of these issues significantly within the limits of the new system.
Thank you again to everyone who responded, it is excellent to have had so much engagement with this process.
