Describing Images (alt tags)
When you add an image to Moodle one of the settings after you’ve added the image itself is Describe this image for someone who cannot see it – this forms the alt tag of the image. Basically when a machine reads the page and sees the image it will read out what is in that description. A good description might read ‘Drawing of a smiley face.’ whereas a poor one would be ‘Cartoon’.
