Check my Grade link

Summary

In order for students to see their grades, they have to click on the Tools link (if you have one) in your Course Menu, and then click “Check my Grade”.  To make it more convenient for students to check their grades, you can add a link to the Course Menu, or you can add a Grade Module to your Module Page (Home Page).

Adding a “Grades” module to your Module Page (Home Page)

The Module Page (which appears in your course menu as “Home Page”) is a new feature in Blackboard in 2011.  It summarises much of the activity that’s taking place in your paper, and alerts students about new content, announcements, up-coming tasks, as well as their grades.  By default, it does not come with a “Grades” module, but you can add one in.

  • If you have not already done so, then turn Edit Mode ON by clicking the button in the top right of the content area.
  • Click on Home Page in your course menu.
  • Click the “Add Module” button.
  • Tick the box beside “My Blackboard Grades”.
  • Click Submit.

Using My Grades to Review Test Submissions

If you allow submitted responses, answer feedback and correct/incorrect answers on tests to be visible to students to students they can view this information by clicking on the Test name in the My Grades tool. When students first view this data about a test they will only be shown the scores received for each attempt. The additional information will be available if they click on the test score to view the additional information (answer feedback, submitted responses etc).
