Please also mark yourself as present, or if you are filling in for someone else, please note their absence and your name.<\/p>\n<h3>Resources<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/help.otago.ac.nz\/moodle\/files\/2025\/01\/20250131_Attendance.pdf\">Instructions for Tutorial Rooms (PDF)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Taking Attendance<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to MedMoodle (https:\/\/medschool.otago.ac.nz) using your University of Otago username and password.<\/li>\n<li>Find and open the module you&#8217;re teaching on your <em>Dashboard<\/em> (https:\/\/medschool.otago.ac.nz\/my)<\/li>\n<li>Find and open the Attendance activity in the module &#8211; usually in the <em>Assessments<\/em> area<\/li>\n<li>From the drop-down menu called Sessions select your current Group &#8211; i.e Group: EPE_2_A_G10 (EPE Year 2, Stream A, Room G10).<\/li>\n<li>Click the <em>Status<\/em> in the <em>Status<\/em> column or the <em>Take Attendance<\/em> option\u00a0in the<em> Actions<\/em> menu associated with today&#8217;s date.<\/li>\n<li>Review all the students in the list and make sure there are not any existing statuses (i.e someone has already been marked as N &#8211; Notified absence).<\/li>\n<li>Fill in all the attendances, including your own:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>P<\/strong> &#8211; Present and\/or engaged<\/li>\n<li><strong>F<\/strong> &#8211; Flagged &#8211; late or unengaged (leave a comment to explain with your initials)<\/li>\n<li><strong>N<\/strong> &#8211; Notified (leave a comment to explain with your initials)<\/li>\n<li><strong>U<\/strong> &#8211; Unnotified<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Save Attendance.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Related Pages<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/help.otago.ac.nz\/moodle\/assessing-students\/attendance\/\">Attendance<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary From 2019 ELM attendance will be taken online in Moodle (previously a paper form) and must be completed for each tutorial\/lab.
