Creating a Survey<\/h2>\n

- Log in to Moodle and navigate to the course you want to add the survey to.<\/li>\n
- Make sure editing is turned on\u00a0(<\/em>Turn editing<\/em>\u00a0on<\/em> – toggle icon in the top right hand corner):

<\/li>\n- Click\u00a0Add an activity or resource<\/em>\u00a0in the section you want the survey\u00a0to appear in.<\/li>\n
- Select\u00a0Survey<\/em>\u00a0from the list and click\u00a0Add.<\/em><\/li>\n
- Give the\u00a0survey a name and select the type of survey from the drop-down menu:\n

- Attitudes to Thinking and Learning Survey (ATTLS) – For measuring the extent to which a person is a ‘connected knower’ (tends to find learning more enjoyable, and is often more cooperative, congenial and more willing to build on the ideas of others) or a ‘separate knower’ (tends to take a more critical and argumentative stance to learning).<\/li>\n
- Critical incidents survey.<\/li>\n
- Constructivist On-line Learning Environment Survey (COLLES) – For monitoring the extent to which the interactive capacity of the World Wide Web may be exploited for engaging students in dynamic learning practices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
- Use the other settings to restrict access as required.<\/li>\n
- Click\u00a0Save and display<\/em> when finished to view the survey.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Viewing Survey Responses<\/h2>\n

- Log in to Moodle and navigate to the course where your survey is.<\/li>\n
- Click on the name of your survey to open it.<\/li>\n
- Click the\u00a0View x survey responses<\/em> link to the right of the survey.<\/li>\n
- This page will allow you to see all the responses or download the raw data for use in Excel (or similar programs).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
