If you&#8217;re just wanting to have a quick look you can follow the instructions below, but if you&#8217;re wanting to test assignment submission and grading we recommend talking to an eLearning Facilitator about setting up a demo student account to use with the instructions.<\/p>\n<h2>How to log in as a student<\/h2>\n<p>This functionality isn&#8217;t available to all user roles &#8211; you may need to ask someone with a higher role than you.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Login to Moodle and navigate to your course.<\/li>\n<li>From the navigation bar, click <i>Participants.\u00a0<\/i>Ensure\u00a0<em>Enrolled users<\/em> is selected in the dropdown box at the top of this page.<\/li>\n<li>Find a local student and click on their profile image (if you have a demo student account click on it&#8217;s profile image instead).<\/li>\n<li>From the Administration section click\u00a0<em>Log in as<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; this means you effectively become the student.<\/li>\n<li>Across the top of the screen is a banner reminding you who you&#8217;re logged in as &#8211; make sure you click\u00a0<em>Log out<\/em> when you&#8217;re finished.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Related Pages<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/help.otago.ac.nz\/moodle\/general-information\/elearning-facilitators\/\">eLearning Facilitators<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary Often it is useful to be able to view your course as a student and make sure everything functions as expected.
