Summary<\/h2>\n

Sections (sometimes called Topics) are seperate areas of a course – they’re useful if you want to group content together into related sections: General info, Assessment, Labs, Tutorials, Lectures etc.<\/p>\n

How to create a section<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Login to Moodle and navigate to the course where you want to add a section.<\/li>\n
  2. Make sure editing is turned on\u00a0(Edit Mode <\/em>– top right hand corner).<\/li>\n
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the link\u00a0Add section<\/em> below the final section – click it.<\/li>\n
  4. A new Section\/Topic will be added to the bottom of the page – click the pencil icon next to its name to rename it.<\/li>\n
  5. Click the \u22ee icon in the top right hand corner of the new section to change its settings (Edit topic<\/em>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How to hide a section<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Make sure editing is turned on in your course\u00a0(<\/em>Edit Mode <\/em>– top right hand corner).<\/li>\n
    2. Find the section you want to hide.<\/li>\n
    3. Click the \u22ee icon in the top right hand corner and select Hide Section<\/em>\u00a0from menu that appears.<\/li>\n
    4. To show the section again repeat step 3 and select Show Section.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      How to create a sub-section<\/h2>\n
        \n
      1. Make sure editing is turned on in your course\u00a0(<\/em>Edit Mode <\/em>– top right hand corner).<\/li>\n
      2. Find the section you want to add a sub section to.<\/li>\n
      3. Click the \u22ee icon in the top right hand corner and select Add Subsection<\/em>\u00a0from menu that appears.<\/li>\n
      4. Make sure you section is expanded and you should see a new section (indented) has appeared at the end of your existing section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
