Blackboard Links

Summary

To add a link to Otago Capture on your Blackboard page you’ll first need to set up a section using the Otago Capture Administration Application.

Once that is set up, you can choose to link directly to the section and all of it’s recordings (the Section Home), or you can link directly to a recording.

Linking to the Section Home

  1. Log into Blackboard and click on the name of the appropriate paper.
  2. In the Blackboard course menu, click the icon in the top left hand corner. Choose to add a “Tool Link”.

  1. Give the Link a name, and select the Type as “Echo360 Recordings”.
  2. Now Click on the link in the Course Menu to attach that link to the section.
  3. A new window should open, from here select the section you wish to join to the Blackboard paper.
    1. Choose “Link to the Section Home”
    2. Click “Link Content”

You may not see your section listed in this view, depending if you’ve attached other sections to Blackboard papers. You may need to click “Link a Different Section” and choose your section from the drop-down.

  1. Close the window and try clicking the link again, the section should open up for you.
