Summary
You may like to keep a copy of your discussion board posts for offline reading. This is particularly useful if you need to keep a copy beyond the end of the semester (we cannot roll discussions into the next year). You should do this before requesting your rollover.

How to save posts from a Discussion Board
To save the text of the discussion boards is fairly straight-forward, although it does need to be done forum by forum:
- Go to your Discussion Board in your Blackboard Paper
- Click on the name of the forum
- Click on the check box at the top left of the list of threads to select all threads
- Click Collect, then Print Preview
- Use the pop-up print dialogue box to print to a PDF (this relies on you already having a PDF printer installed). If you don’t know how to “print” to a PDF, please contact AskOtago.
If you would like to keep any files which have been attached to discussion board posts, unfortunately the process is manual. You would need to click on each attachment (after the Collect step so you can see them all easily) and save them onto your computer.
